Music
At St Jude’s we aim to engage and inspire our children to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians, and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement.
We value the importance of the creative arts, as a way of children being able to express themselves as well as enhancing their spiritual, moral, social, cultural and educational development.
Weekly music lessons are supplemented with peripatetic music tuition, musical after-school clubs, visits and workshops from external agencies, and annual concerts and events at the Royal Festival Hall.
Our weekly Praise and Worship is also a wonderful time for us to celebrate our faith together in song.
In Music, we are clear that Intent is the knowledge and skills the children acquire in our curriculum, which builds towards clearly defined end points.
