Design Technology

 

Our Design and Technology curriculum is inspiring, rigorous and practical.

Using creativity and imagination, pupils design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values.

At St Jude’s we value the importance of the creative arts, as a way of children being able to express themselves as well as enhancing their spiritual, moral, social, cultural and educational development.

In Design and Technology, we are clear that Intent is the knowledge and skills the children acquire in our curriculum, which builds towards clearly defined end points.

Our curriculum is designed to ensure that all children are taught the skills and technical knowledge needed to design, make and evaluate existing and created products.
