Grand Opening of our Creative Learning Hub

School Council are excited to announce the plans for the official opening and celebration of our new music and food tech space.

The Plan:

BAKE OFF WITH A HEALTHY TWIST!

On Friday 23rd March at 8.50 am children will be asked to bring in a homemade bake – with a healthy twist. This can be taken to the Creative Learning Hub – each class will have its own space to place bakes on.

9.15 – 10.15 judging of the baking entries will commence. Our judging team will include members of staff and governors! They will judge the bakes.

Staff and parents are also invited to bring a bake!

10.15 – 11.15 judging of the staff and parents bakes will commence. The judging team will be led by school council and Miss New. From 11.15 – 2.00 Classes will be able to come into the creative learning hub and taste some of the bakes. Parents will not be staying for the judging in the morning but are most welcome for the opening in the afternoon.

Opening and presentation

3.00 – 3.30 – All parents and friends are invited to our official opening and presentation to the winning bakers. Children will be seated inside. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd for each year group.

Parents will be invited to gather in the Key stage 2 playground – weather permitting – we will open the bi folding doors and cut the ribbon from there.

The rules for the Bake Off

  • All entries must be accompanied by a recipe card – attached. This can be typed/handwritten
  • All entries must have at least one fruit / vegetable in the ingredients
  • There must be no nuts in our bakes
  • The bakes can be savoury or sweet
  • No soggy bottoms allowed!!
