Dear Parents and Carers,

St Jude’s Primary School is celebrating Science Week from Monday 14^th – Friday 18^th March.

During this week the children will be experiencing a range of fun and practical science activities to learn all about climate change and how it affects the world around us. The children will be finding out what climate change is, as well as how we can slow down the effects of climate change on our planet, its animals and its habitats.

On Monday 14^th March we will kick-start the week with a special assembly from ‘Eco Action Games’. A survey will also be sent home for you to complete to find out how eco-friendly you are!

We will also be celebrating Earth Hour at school on Thursday, 17^th March. This year, Earth Hour is on Saturday, 19^th March from 8.30-9.30pm. Across the world, people will be uniting to send a positive message about changing climate change wherever they are. This can be as simple as not using any non-essential lights during that hour or it could be that you decide not to use any non-essential electrical devices during that time. It would be great to see many of you getting involved at home to show the children the importance of being committed to protecting our world.
