Football

  • Training sessions once a week
  • The Squad (Years 3 – 6, 30 children)

  • Daily football for all children (lunchtime provision, refereed by SG Sports Coach)
  • Brixistane FC coach takes sessions at Ferndale Centre once a week (Years 3 & 4)

Athletics

Tennis

  • Half-termly lessons through PE Curriculum (net/wall games)
  • Lifetime Tennis Academy provide 6 lessons for all classes throughout the year
  • Lifetime Tennis Academy select strong tennis players to join their club over the summer holiday period
  • 6 children chosen, links with Wimbledon Academy

Fitness Club

  • Weekly sessions for identified children (Thursday mornings)
  • St Jude’s Fun Run
  • All children set personal targets during their fitness sessions
  • 5 members of staff with knowledge and experience in fitness classes, BMF or sports drills

Fun & Games

  • Weekly club for Reception, Year 1 & 2
  • Emphasising and applying Government guidance that sport should encourage fun and enjoyment for children until the age of 7.
