Class 6

Teacher – Cressida Booth

Welcome to Class 6!

We are a tight-knit class who work hard and have fun. We are positive about our learning and love hands on activities. We are looking forward to art and science in particular this year.

Each day we study guided reading, maths and English and where possible we try to link these with our other topics. This year our topics are: Hard Times: The Victorians, Extreme Earth, Ancient Africa, War Child, From Morse to Mobiles and a whole school topic at the end of the year.

Class 6 is an important year for us as we will sit our SATs exams – these will be in reading, mathematics and SPaG (spelling, punctuation and grammar).

During the year we will work really hard and always try our best. Most importantly we will believe in ourselves and stay positive – we are going to do brilliantly!

The adults who will be supporting and guiding us this year are Miss Booth, Miss Heron and Mr Green. Mr Winn will be teaching a small group in mathematics and supporting groups throughout the week where necessary.

Our P.E lessons are every Wednesday and Friday afternoons and we learn steel pans on a Monday afternoon with Mr Campbell.
