Teacher – Claire Douch
Welcome to Class 6!
We are an enthusiastic, energetic and entertaining bunch who are ready for a jammed packed year!
Each day we study guided reading, maths and English and where possible we try to link these with our other topics.
We enjoy expressing ourselves through music and drama, and are superb at applying our skills in creative ways and in different contexts.
This year our topics are: Hard Times: The Victorians, Extreme Earth, Ancient Africa, War Child, From Morse to Mobiles and Nature Detectives!
Class 6 is an important year for us as we will sit our SATs exams – these will be in reading, mathematics and SPaG (spelling, punctuation and grammar).
During the year we will work really hard and always try our best. Most importantly we will believe in ourselves and stay positive – we are going to do brilliantly!
The adults who will be supporting and guiding us this year are Miss Douch and Miss Heron. Mr Winn and Ms Sidee will be team teaching mathematics and English in Class 6, and supporting groups throughout the week.
Our P.E lessons are every Wednesday afternoon with a specialised P.E coach and we learn steel pans on a Monday afternoon with Mr Campbell.
